August 16, 2013 Businesses Should Play a Role in College EducationEveryone agrees that affordable access to college-level education is a must. But there are other things we should be worrying about besides cost and access. Quality is foremost on the list. According to a recent study, 45% of U.S. students showed no improvement in critical-thinking skills after two years in college. And let's not forget about great students who can't find suitable work. This begs the question: is college fulfilling its purpose? In some cases, no. So what can we do about it? Well, for their part, businesses should step up their game. How?
