It's Better to Be Imperfect Than Sorry


"Sometimes, perfection can be the enemy of accomplishment." Take Bell Labs. The research wing of AT&T developed mobile phone technology way back in 1946, but the powers that be never fully went to market with the idea because it didn't live up to the team's perfect standards of flawlessness. By waiting, the Bell team wasted a huge opportunity. That's not to say that experimentation, feedback, and the relentless pursuit of innovation are bad things. Far from it. Bell Labs, after all, was a powerhouse at the time. All it means is that sometimes good is good enough.
