November 07, 2013 And You Thought the Weekend Was Supposed to Be FunFor people with high levels of education, life satisfaction remains high throughout the work week but drops on weekends, falling from about 7.2 to about 7.0 on a zero-to-10 scale, in anticipation of the upcoming stresses of the next work week, according to an analysis of thousands of German survey respondents. Men with low levels of education maintain a steady satisfaction of about 6.8 throughout the full week, while their female counterparts hit a peak of about 6.8 on Tuesdays and decline to below 6.7 on weekends, according to a team led by Wofgang Maennig of the University of Hamburg.
