Silicon Valley Is OK


Some factions of the media have turned on Silicon Valley. The "tech hate" stems from the perception that the Valley is being overrun by young entrepreneurs trying to make it big with more and more social apps — the next Snapchat, if you will. Perception, of course, is not reality. The facts: Last year, venture capitalists invested the most money in business intelligence, advertising, HR, and customer service start-ups. How much did of the total pot was invested in social companies? Two percent.
