Dads Should Work More Flexible Hours

Paternity leave is essential for a new dad, because it gives him time to bond with his family, and to devote his full and undivided attention to the all-consuming and often exhausting work that is child rearing. But once the short leave is over, most dads jump right back into the work grind, and stress, sleep deprivation, and exhaustion soon follow. This is why companies should offer dads more flexible working arrangements. And dads, for their part, shouldn't be fearful that spending more time at home will equal fewer opportunities at work. The opposite is true. According to new research, people who take advantage of flexible work schedules tend to receive more promotions than those who don't.
